Heroes Season 3…A Children’s Script, Gone Bad

There was so much happening, that’s usually a good thing, but not on all ocassions.  Heroes is not what it used to be; i think i lost it somewhere in between the Writer’s Strike a while back…or maybe before i can’t recall. I honestly am no longer impressed, your led in this direction, then in another direction, initially i was quite fond of this, but how long did the writer’s think this would work? It’s like a child “trying” to write a story, but not being able to make up his/her mind on what they want, changing there mind on a whim.

I can’t find myself not watching Heroes though – as annoying as it has become it’s like a pretty puppy that needs to be put down; but i’ll wait it out and see what happens. I had to choose between Heroes and Prison Break tonight, unfortunetly i choose Heroes.  But who am i to judge, some would beg to differ, others may consider it writing genious, something to kepe fans “hooked” and “on the edge” i wonder where i fall.

Seriously, Why is everyone Bitching About The New Facebook

It’s as if people insist on jumping on “I hate the new facebook” bandwagon, but when i ask the simple question “Why do you hate it?” they give me a half baked answer of “I just don’t like the new layout”.  Doesn’t sound like a plausible answer to me. Why? is it cool or hip to not like the new facebook?

Initially, for me it was a love/hate thing; i found the site hard to navigate, INITIALLY, but i was drooling at the fact that applications no longer plagued people’s main profile page.  Instead it was now placed in a separate “tab” which for me was grand. Facebook was feeling a bit “myspace-ish” to me because of that so i welcomed that well needed change.

Things got even more sour when the facebook team decided to stop everyone from switching over to the old layout; but i think it was a good move, they’ll got accustomed to it eventually.

Now here’s the lowdown of advantages for me in the new facebook:

  • People cannot PLAGUE there profiles with useless apps making there page take forever to load
  • There’s now something called “Live feed“; explained in link
  • You can now create specific filters with friends in them to streamline who you are most interested in.There are more, i’m just unable to pull them out of my head now

I May Not Like Diddy’s Music…But

I may not be the biggest fan of Mr. Combs’ music but i am a fan of this Youtube video he so lovingly made. I myself was annoyed by John McCain’s choice of Sarah Pillin for Vice President.  But i think Diddy put it best, in layman terms anyway; give it a watch

I know Mccain’s old, really old, what if he trips and breaks his hip? he needs to be careful. he’s a fragile old man. Sarah would be a heart beat away from presidency . I also reccomend this post a friend of mine posted on his blog re: Mccain’s choice of Pallin for Vp, give it a read

P.S I Got a good laugh out of Diddy’s video; the guy’s a comedian.

In Defeat Or Victory, Jamaica is still # 1,

It never dawned on me that i would be writing something like this.  Everything was going so well up until now; this was an unexpected disappointment, i still can’t fathom our loss *sighs*.  But we can still hold our heads high, I’m still proud of our girls and I’m still Proud to be Jamaican no matter the outcome.

I’m at a lost for words..not much i can say.  Better luck next time.

Update: The Males in the 4 x 100 made us Proud again, congrats:) And here i thought it was turning out to be a dissapointing day:)

Be Silent Fools, Usain can do whatever he wishes

I’m still in awe right now. These last few days have literally been the best moments of my life. I feel such a heightened level of patriotism – it’s overwhelming. Our athletes have done and are doing a fine job at making us feel PROUD as Jamaicans.

Now Mr. Bolt has once again proven he has the right to pat his chest and do whatever else he wishes (Whether anyone feels it’s disrespectful or not), he earned it and i have no aplogies for saying that.  Kudos to Melanie Walker ( I didn’t know about her up until this morning, so i conveniently reffered to her as the “other person” to score a Gold apart from Mr. “Lighting” Bolt himself.

It’s our time and we deserve it; Go Jamaica Go!!!.

How HUMBLE can a man be in such a situation.

I’ve become somewhat of a temporary sport fanatic, just to be specific a Track And Field Fanatic. But we all know why so i need not venture into such inane details. Apparently bolt hitting his chest close to his smashing Olympic finish is a problem for a few people, but i see no problem there, what he did was fine.

I think impulse got the best of him and and after reading a bit about him i would expect nothing less from a man like himself in such a situation; read this article in today’s paper and you’ll get my point, he’s that type of person, a bit egocentric, and conceited, but it is what it is; he’s an awesome athlete and anyone in such a position would probably react the same (especially with a personality such as his)

I want to agree with a comment made on facebook re: Bolt slowing down close to his finish:

The Logic is Simple…Usain needs to set the record at a breakable time to increase his earning potential. That is, you earn money each time you break a world record. Therefore in a few months he can easily break the 9.69 and make some FAST money.

I don’t know how true that it is; but it seems logical enough to me; Bolt wants to set a time so he can beat it again; even if there’s no money incentive he’ll surely get media spotlight and that by itself is good enough.

All in all as far as i see; most athletes are conceited, they just try and shy it down a bit.  I remember Asafa saying once that he can “Run anytime he wants to run” and that he decides how “fast” he goes, just by taking to these people you’ll hear such narcissistic statements coming out,and any athlete that after accomplishing such greatness, is still humble after…well there just being hypocrites, but i guess that helps sometime doesn’t it?

Bolt can be as conceited as he wants, as long as he keeps breaking those records he’ll get attention… as much as some people hate it.  It is what it is.

P.S Congrats on your stellar performance girls; i think it’s safe to say that that was one of the best moments of my life..so far. I felt/feel REALLY good to be Jamaican.

Continue making us proud in Beijing Everyone.
