I mean honestly, what’s with the “Gas Guzzlers”
Jamaica/Politics, Rant June 23rd, 2008With the rising fuel prices how can cabinet ministers of Jamaica afford to drive around in 2008 Land Cruiser Prado’s? and other expensive SUV’s?. I mean honestly, someone give me a good reason why they need to be doing that? Can’t they use other vehicles that’s actually good with Gas Saving? It honestly annoys the hell out of me.
Is it a matter of dignity? Can’t they parade around in corolla’s? what’s wrong with corolla’s?. Does driving around in expensive and unnecessary SUV’s help anyone? Does it magically fix roads or something, does it do something i don’t know about? if so tell me.

I was at the tax office recently, waiting on my turn to do my business, out of no where i see this Prado with the nice big yellow license plate pull up right in front of me. I *sighed* and it seemed as if i was burning up inside…it’s sad. If you guys insist on driving around in these gas guzzlers, use your own money and by them...better yet kill yourselves.

Politicians must lead by example, and it is glarinly obvious that they are not doing so, with respect to some of the vehicles issued to government ministers at the expense of the tax payers.

Indeed they should lead by example. I say these 4×4’s (by no means Prado’s) be given to the farmers who need to trek the mountainous and decrepit roads they have to in most cases. And as far as status is concerned, again lead by example. I still the Golding administration thumbs up though (and me neva born JLP). I just think they are more competent.
