C’mon Mr.Pryce…I expected better
Articles, Interesting, Jamaica/Politics, Rant November 20th, 2007Last Night i was watching the news…. well not really, i just happened to enter my parent’s bedroom in the nick of time to see that story and it caught my attention. A prominent journalist (Michael Pryce) got into a little “fist-to-fist” confrontation with a man who they claimed to be of “unsound” mind. Initially i thought it was some copper having a squabble with a citizen. I was like “Cops are not supposed to fight civilians”; they are supposed to beat the shit out of them, throw some handcuffs on and carry them downtown”.

After having a closer look i soon realized that it was none other than Michael Pryce…..the British Journalist from cvm tv… i was flabbergasted. The PNP supporters claimed that Pryce was a “Labourite” and that he eas not welcomed there. he(Pryce) soon after said that one man in the crowd made some nasty comments about his family, he did not take this well and approached tthe man of unsound mind; out of nowhere Pryce got smacked in the face. I’d elaborate on the story more, but i suspect you get the just of the story.
Pryce is a professional journalist and i did not expect him to act in such a manner. He should have just ignored the comments, and if necessary leave the scene… i mean come on, he even retaliated, i say deserved that smack in the face….. Total Ownage, with your dirty, dirty brit accent. seriously though you could have easily lost your life, don’t try something like that again, DUDE think about it. Alot of PNP supporters + Disrespecting on of them = loss of your life.

Yes, in an incendiary and potentially explosive situation or circumstance, with inflammatory and derogatory insults being hurled or directed at ones family as experienced by journalist, Mr. Michael Pryce, it is always best to take the high road by not engaging such individuals.Mr. Pryce should have exercised better professional judgement by ignoring such individuals by not retaliating.Fortunately for Mr. Pryce, he was able to walk away from this incident alive, although his ego, reputation, and professionalism may be somewhat tarnished.RESPECT !!

Honestly, I didn’t think that Mr. Pryce had it in him to get into a physical altercation because…after all…he is British!! hahaha. J/K
I just never quite want to believe that anyone with that accent could get into a fight because the language sounds so formal. Oh well, Pryce better be careful. You cannot show yourself to be partisan as a reporter and expect to go into a district supportive of the other party with minimum fuss. Him fi do betta still.

i was thinking the same thing too Aurie, the british accent always speaks of professionalism and him being a professional adds to that, oh well i guess even the most intelligent people get a touch of stupid sometimes:P

I agree the guy didn’t act in the most professional manner, but he didn’t deserve the eye injury he got.
